Movers and Shakers

Norman, OK — Norman Public Schools is proud to announce that Molly Dettmann, Teacher Librarian at Norman North High School, and Amanda Kordeliski, District Library Services Coordinator, have been nationally recognized as Library Journal’s 2025 “Movers & Shakers,” honoring their outstanding leadership, advocacy and impact in the field of school librarianship.

Through their work with the Oklahoma Library Association, Dettmann and Kordeliski have become leading voices in legislative advocacy, using research, community engagement and professional expertise to protect student access to library resources and certified librarians.

“We’re proud to stand up for students and make sure every child has access to the resources they need to thrive,” said Molly Dettmann, former OLA EDII committee chair.

“This recognition highlights the power of educators working together to make a difference,” added Amanda Kordeliski. “It’s not just about libraries—it’s about student learning and equity.”

Dr. Nick Migliorino, Superintendent of Norman Public Schools, praised the recognition.
