Norman Public Schools is proud to recognize Norman High School sophomore, Kiowa citizen, and varsity cheerleader Rainee Stumblingbear-Riddle, who was selected to the prestigious Varsity All-American Cheer Team, an honor reserved for the nation’s most elite high school cheerleaders.
As part of this distinction, Stumblingbear-Riddle traveled internationally to perform in the London New Year’s Day Parade, an event attended by more than 500,000 spectators and viewed by millions around the world. Stumblingbear-Riddle was the only student from Norman Public Schools and the state of Oklahoma who performed with the Varsity All-American Cheer Team this year.
While performing on the global stage, Stumblingbear-Riddle represented her tribe, school and the state of Oklahoma, showcasing not only her exceptional talent but also her dedication, leadership and cultural pride. Norman High School Cheer Coach Hayley Dan celebrated the honor and Rainee’s commitment to her craft.
“Rainee is an outstanding athlete and teammate who consistently demonstrates leadership, perseverance and heart,” Dan said. “Being named a Varsity All-American and performing in London is an incredible honor, and it speaks volumes about her dedication to cheer and her willingness to rise to every challenge.”
Stumblingbear-Riddle shared that it was a privilege to represent Oklahoma and Norman Public Schools on an international stage.
“Performing in the London New Year’s Day parade was truly such an honor for me,” Stumblingbear-Riddle said. “I am beyond thankful for the whole experience. Performing in the parade and getting to do what I am most passionate about in front of such a big crowd was magical. I honestly have not experienced anything as special as this. Being able to represent my school, tribe and state is remarkable to me. I will forever be touched by this opportunity.”
Norman Public Schools congratulates Stumblingbear-Riddle on this achievement and looks forward to watching her continued success both on and off the mat.
