Word Out Weekly Newsletter

Good Morning Wildcat Families,

As summer slowly begins to wind down we find ourselves getting ready to start another awesome year at Alcott! With that, we want to give you some important information:

Will my child REALLY be given a new computer this year? YES! Every 6th-8th grade student in NPS will be given a brand new 13" Apple Macbook Air on the 2nd day of school. This laptop will be your child's laptop to keep until they move on to the high school. You assuredly have many more questions about the I-Tech initiative. Please be sure to check out the NPS website for  I-Tech 1:1 Laptop Initiative Info.

What about enrollment? Here is our schedule:

Tuesday, August 1st 8:30 - 11:30 - 8th grade
Tuesday, August 1st 1:00 - 4:00 7th grade

Where will enrollment be held? We will use the Library. PTA and other groups will be located in the Art room.

What if we need schedule changes? Don't worry!  Please email your child's counselor to see if changes are possible.

Construction sure looks great, when will everything be done? Great question, we knew you were wondering! We are getting very close and much closer every day. Our new office should be finished by the time school begins on August 17. Our softball concession building will not be finished until at least the end of September.

Our staff has spent the summer preparing for your kids and we truly can't wait to have them back on campus. Should you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to let us know or to reach out to me directly. Thanks in advance for everything and welcome to what we believe to be the very best middle school!
