Norman Board of Education Makes Office 5 Appointment

NORMAN – The Norman Board of Education announced Friday the appointment of Ms. Tina Floyd to fill the previously announced Office 5 vacancy. Floyd, who will be sworn in at the regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting on January 9, 2023, will serve the remainder of the current term at which point the regularly scheduled Office 5 election will take place as normal in February of 2025. Floyd was chosen after a competitive and extensive application and interview process.

The Norman Board of Education declared a vacancy for Office 5 effective January 1, 2023, following the resignation of Ms. Linda Sexton on Nov. 28, 2022 after more than 30 years of dedicated service to the students and families of the Norman community.
