New principal named at Longfellow Middle School
The Norman Board of Education approved Monday the hire of Brad Talley as the new principal at Longfellow Middle School. Talley has 16 years experience in public education, most recently serving as an assistant principal at the middle school level for Oklahoma City Public Schools.
“Brad is a fantastic fit for Longfellow,” said Superintendent Dr. Nick Migliorino. “His energy, leadership and relationship-minded approach are going to lead to great things for both our students and our staff at Longfellow.”
Talley has spent the last five years at Oklahoma City Public Schools, where he served as an assistant principal at Greystone Elementary School, Buchanan Elementary School, Cesar Chavez Elementary School and most recently at Jefferson Middle School.
Prior to his time with OKCPS, Talley began his career in education with Norman Public Schools. He served as a fifth grade teacher at Jackson Elementary School for seven years and as a math and geography teacher at Alcott Middle School for four years. Talley earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Oklahoma.
