2016 Crosstown Clash, Taste of Norman set for Sept. 1
Football teams from Norman High and Norman North will compete in the annual “Crosstown Clash” Thursday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Oklahoma’s Owen Field. The event marks the rivalry's 20th year. Gates open at 6 p.m. and admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students.
Fans can enjoy pre-game fare at Taste of Norman, an annual fundraiser that benefits band programs at both high schools. The event, which features food from 27 local restaurants, is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the OU Mosier Center indoor practice facility. Tickets are $15 (children 5 and under are free) and can be purchased from band students, main office staff at each high school or at Republic Bank locations in Norman.
Avoid the ticket lines
Game tickets, as well as Taste of Norman tickets, are available for purchase Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or until 6:30 p.m. Aug. 31) at the NPS Athletics Office at the Administrative Services Center located at 131 S. Flood Avenue. Tickets are also available at both high schools by calling 405.366.5812 for Norman High or 405.366.5954 for Norman North. Fans also may purchase tickets at the events. Only cash and checks will be accepted.
Parking is available at the OU Duck Pond and also on levels 3-6 in the garage located on the west side of the stadium. Norman High fans are encouraged to enter the stadium through Gate 7 and occupy the east side of the stands. Norman North fans should enter through Gate 5 and occupy seats on the west side of the stand.
