Join us on Tuesday, October 2 at 7:30 as Norman Public Schools present its Annual Dr. Robert L. Kidd III All City Concert at the Lloyd Noble Center at the University of Oklahoma.
The concert will showcase all 5th graders in Norman Public Schools and will feature a wide variety of children’s choral music. Guest clinician, Dan Lejeune, a nationally know conductor, has taught and directed numerous award winning choirs. His choirs have been invited to perform for the American Choral Directors Association and the Music Educators National Conference. In 2009, he was chosen to conduct the National Youth Honor Choir at Constitution Hall in Washington D.C.
Jason Clemons, the Norman High School Orchestra, and several guest musicians from the Oklahoma City Metro Area will accompany the choir.
The concert is named after the late Dr. Robert “Bob” L. Kidd, Dr. Kidd was known as “Bob” to his students at Eisenhower Elementary for 29 years. Bob’s motto was “Make music the best part of every child’s day”, he was instrumental in starting the 5th grade All City Chorus concert.
Tickets are $3.00 for adults and no charge for students. Tickets go on sale at 6:30 p.m. and will be available at both the North and East entrances. Please come a little early!
