What is SchoolStatus Connect?

SchoolStatus Connect is a central communications tool for schools and districts. With SchoolStatus Connect, families can communicate back and forth with their child’s teachers, and stay up-to-date on what’s happening in the school and district - all from one place!

How can I receive communications from my school or child’s teachers?

SchoolStatus Connect lets you choose how you want to receive communications. You can choose to receive notifications through email, text message, or push notification if you download the app. All communications will also be auto-translated into your preferred language.

If you are not receiving communications from SchoolStatus Connect, please check with your school or district to confirm your contact information is correct.

How can I update my language or communication preferences?

Guardians can update their language and communication preferences at any time from their avatar within SchoolStatus Connect. This is important to ensure you are receiving communications the way you want!

 How is the channel of Notification Selected if I have made Email +App my preference?

If the user has both email and SMS contact details, the default notification method would be via email.

If notifications are not successfully sent to the preferred channel, the system will use the alternative method. For example, if the user's email inbox is full and the notifications are not delivered successfully, the system will send the notifications to SMS.Once the issue behind the failed emails is resolved, and the user’s email status is reset either by the user or by Connect support, the system will revert back to sending communications via the preferred channel - email. 

 How can I send my child’s teacher a message?

There are essentially three ways you can reach out to one of your child’s teachers.

  1. After a teacher has contacted you first, you can reply via email or text message. In some cases, this setting may be disabled for certain Announcements in which the sender is not allowing replies.

  2. Login to the SchoolStatus portal and use the Conversations feature to start a conversation with a teacher. Learn more here!

How do I log in to SchoolStatus Connect?

To sign in to your account on SchoolStatus Connect, visit www.schoolstatus.com/log-in and select “Connect”. You can log in with your email address or a Single Sign On method if applicable. 

If you are signing in for the first time, you may be prompted to create a password and select your language and communication preferences.

If you are not able to log in, please reach out to your school or district to confirm your contact information is correct.

Do I need the SchoolStatus Connect app?

The SchoolStatus Connect app is optional for guardians. Guardians should still be able to receive and reply to communications without accessing the app.

However, we believe that the SchoolStatus portal or app provides a unique experience that allows guardians to access all of their communications in one place, plus so much more!
