Chess Club
Here is some information about a local chess club in Norman. They are a great group run by several caring adults, including a grandparent of a Washington student. Check it out if your child has an interest in Chess.
Chess for Children-Norman/CC-N
Chess for Children-Norman formed in the spring of 2022 to create a fun learning experience for beginning chess players in grades 1-5. David Wilson is volunteering his time to teach young players the game of chess. David is a retired teacher/counselor, having 30 years with NPS at Jackson Elementary, where he also sponsored a chess club for the school. Donna Green is the group communications person and also a retired and former teacher.
