Characters:
Narrator
Mice (Mouse 1, Mouse 2, Mouse 3)
Cat
Narrator: In a little mouse home, there were mice who were worried about a sneaky cat. They wanted to find a way to know when the cat was close.
(Mouse 1 enters nervously)
Mouse 1: Friends, we need a way to know when the cat is near so we can stay safe.
Mouse 2: (thinking) What if we put a bell around the cat's neck? We could hear it coming!
Mouse 3: (excited) Good idea! But who will put the bell on the cat?
Narrator: The mice thought about this but realized that putting the plan into action would be tricky.
(Cat enters, quietly stalking the mice)
Mouse 1: (nervous) This might not be as easy as we thought.
Mouse 2: (whispering) Someone needs to try to put the bell on the cat without getting caught.
Narrator: The mice hesitated, understanding the challenge.
(Mouse 3 steps forward, determined)
Mouse 3: I'll try. I may be small, but I'm brave.
Narrator: Mouse 3 approached the cat carefully, but the cat reacted quickly.
(Cat hisses, and Mouse 3 retreats)
Mouse 3: (panting) It's too hard! The cat is too fast.
Mouse 1: (sighs) Maybe our idea isn't so great after all.
Narrator: The mice learned that having a plan is one thing, but making it work is just as important.
