Learn More about Title I

What is the Purpose of Title I, Part A?

Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards.

How will Title I help my child?
The Title I program will provide your school with additional educational assistance beyond the assistance received by a non-title I school. This may include opportunities for professional development for school staff, a variety of supplemental teaching strategies, and additional instructional resources which enhance a student’s regular instruction.
