Sudden Opportunity Program

  • At the Norman Public School Foundation, we understand significant needs may arise that fall outside of our general classroom support grant program. Our Sudden Opportunity program exists to ensure the Foundation is in a position to assist with additional opportunities that enrich learning experiences for students. Below are several examples of the Sudden Opportunity program in action.

Summer Enrichment Camp

  • NPS Summer Enrichment Camp provides students with fun, engaging activities throughout the summer. Each week students choose between a variety of classes that explore creative arts, sports and recreation and STEM. Students in need were able to participate in this program thanks to scholarships provided by the Norman Public School Foundation. These scholarships were made possible because of the genrosity of our donors! Learn more below.

Norman Learning Bus

  • Funded largely by the Foundation, the Norman Learning Bus rolls around town providing literacy and STEM enrichment opportunities for students. Click here to learn more and view the current schedule.

Traveling Planetarium

  • This planetarium, funded by the Norman Public School Foundation, travels to all NPS elementary schools to provide students with an engaging, hands-on lesson about science and space exploration. Donations made to the Foundation make projects like this one possible!
