You Should Know...


    • The Flu has arrived!   Please help prevent the spread of the Flu by doing a few easy steps.

      -Wash your hands throughout the day with soap and water.

      -Cover your cough

      -If unable to wash your hands, use hand sanitizer.

      -If you have a fever of 100.4 or higher, stay home until you are without a fever for 24 hours without the use of medication.

    • Students! It’s not too late to help us beat High for the Reading Challenge Bingo. Come by the library or go to the library website to get your Bingo card and start reading. If you’ve gotten a Bingo, don’t forget to stop by the library and get your free book. The last day to complete the challenge is the Monday after spring break.



    • The City of Norman is hosting a Renewable Energy Career Fair on April 2nd at the Central Library. The event will be held from noon - 7:30. Representatives from the renewable and efficiency industries will be available to visit with while some vendors will be looking for workers and interns for the summer. If this is something you are interested in, stop by Ms Uhlenhake's office (by the library).



    • The Spot” is now open in Norman!!!!  It’s a fun and safe place for ages 14-21 to get free wifi, have a place to study, watch tv, play games, get food, clothing, tutoring, and other social services AND It is free. Located at 526 W. Main Street (just a few doors down from CiCi’s Pizza). Open Monday-Friday 4-7pm and Saturdays 11am=-4pm.



    • AP students: If you are interested in registering for a 2nd semester AP exam OR an exam for a topic that we don’t offer (ie Micro/ Macro), see Ms. U to get your exam ordered by March 11. (There is a $40 late ordering fee attached to the exam fee.)



    • ATTENTION STUDENTS: You MUST wear your ID around your neck at all times while in the building.  That includes all hallways! 



    • Thursday, DECA will have a “3 COOKIE PER BAG” cookie day to celebrate how awesome Norman North is.  Sorry Seniors :(



    • Prom is just around the corner, T-Wolves! Guest passes are officially available in the front office, and in Mrs. Gann’s room S106. The deadline to turn them in for approval is Wednesday, April 15th by 4:15pm. Purchase passes will be available after Spring Break--more info to follow, soon!



    • ATTN: Seniors  Please come see  Mrs. Trusley (Registrar) in the main office at your earliest convenience to verify your name for your diploma. Every name must be verified..



    • Seniors:  Jostens will be here on March 11th from 10-1 in the Commons to deliver graduation products.  Please be advised that all balances must be paid in full.



    • To get your driving permit, you need to fill out a Request for Driver’s License Form. Form needs to be turned in 24 hours prior to your DPS appointment.



    • Are you a senior? Have you finished your Personal Financial Literacy (PFL)? If you are enrolled in government this semester, you will do PFL in your class. EVERYONE ELSE MUST SEE MRS. STRAIN to enroll in PFL. PFL MUST BE COMPLETED in order to graduate. If you took Government and did not finish PFL, you still must finish it. The deadline for everyone to complete PFL is Thursday, March 12 - BEFORE SPRING BREAK. Questions? See Mrs. Strain in the counseling office.

    • Sophomores, juniors and seniors, it's time to turn in your Moore Norman Technology Center application! Choose from over 30 career-based electives that you can take on the MNTC campus next year. Apply today at mntc.edu/apply. Moore Norman Technology Center. Start your Future Now!

    • SOPHOMORES:  MNTC applications accepted now through February 28 for first round consideration of the 2020 school year. Student interviews will begin in January. Apply early!

    • SENIORS:   THE FINAL DATE FOR SUBMITTING YOUR YEARBOOK POSE IS SUNDAY, JANUARY 12.  If you do not select an image by the deadline, it will default to the first image.  

      Choosing a Senior Yearbook Pose. This process is much easier using a computer. On a mobile device, you will have to open the full website.

      1) Go to www.okschoolpics.com

      2) Go to Order Senior Photos-link

      3) Enter Pin, First Name, Last Name (IMPORTANT:  if you need your PIN, see Mr. Oglesby in room C204)

      4) Use the Yearbook Icon to choose the Yearbook Pose.


    • How much are senior ads, and how do I pay? 
      • ¼ page: $130
      • ½ page: $225
      • 1 page: $350

    • Who composes the senior ad?
      • Jostens lays out the ads so they are all consistent with the theme of the book.

    • When is the deadline?
      • Monday March 22nd

    • What goes on the ad?
      • Pictures of your choice, along with a message. 
    • Where do I order/upload/pay for the ad?
      • Order, upload pictures, and pay for your Senior Salute at www.jostensyearbooks.com. Go to Norman North>yearbook.
      • If you pay at the school, please bring hard copies of all content you would like included in the ad.

Fine Arts




    • Are you interested in trying out for Cheer or Pom for next school year?  Packets are available in the main office and the FRAC for pick up and must be returned by  Thursday, March 12.


    •  Student Expectations

      1. “Positive” Environment
      2.   Throwing objects in the stands or on floor is prohibited
      3.   No outside food or drink
      4.   Students are to stay off the gym floor(remain in the stands)
      5.   Must pay for re-entry into games
      6.   Student seating for NNHS will be South side  & East end
      7.   NNHS students will exit the gym normal exit
      8.   Noise makers and signs are prohibited
