Visual Art

  • Visual Art is available for all students in grades six, seven and eight at the middle school level and gives students hands-on learning experiences in several areas. Drawing, three-dimensional works and other skills and concepts are presented, and often works are displayed at school sites. High school offerings in the Visual Arts include an Introduction to the Visual Arts class, progressive programs through Art I, Art II and Art III, a leveled program in 3-Dimensional Art I and Art II. In addition to those, there is also an Advanced Placement Studio Art course as well as a presentation of basic principles and elements of art through a General Music/Visual Art course. The All-City Art Show features student work from each site and level, in several mediums, as well as works by our visual art faculty.
