You Should Know...

Students and Staff members, beginning Tuesday, Sept 7 district’s expectation is that everyone in our school wear a mask, if you currently don't have a mask, please see your teacher or a nurse.

Help keep Norman North Healthy!.
-Wash your hands throughout the day with soap and water.
-Cover your cough
-Make sure your mask covers your mouth and nose.
-Socially distance whenever possible
-Stay home if you are feeling unwell

Crosstown Clash tickets will be sold through Thursday in the main entrance from 8-9 each morning, at the commons entrance from 12-2. Outside of those times, please go to the athletic office located in the freshmen academy.

Students….playing music from any device while in the hallways is against school policy and will not be permitted.

Reminder: We’re following an assembly schedule today. Students and teachers will remain in their classrooms until they hear the band playing as they march through the hallways. Please join the band, cheer and pom teams as they follow the Timberwolf Trail to the athletic parking area for our outside assembly. Teachers, please escort your students to the parking lot. Band, Cheer and Pom will need to be released at 11:30 to the band hall. Football players and DEN section leaders will be released at 11:45 to go directly to the parking lot for setup.

There is no food in the library. Please eat your food elsewhere. You may have drinks with lids in the library.

If you or your friends would like to be part of homecoming court, vote today via the google document. Your teacher can share the document with you. Voting deadline is Tues @ 10 am

It’s cookie day today with DECA’s famous NORTH CREAM HIGH COOKIE. They’re $2 each. All proceeds will go to North’s Special Olympic program.

The Black Out North High shirts and neon bracelets are for sale in The North Place DECA Store before school and during both lunches. Shirts are $15 and the light up neon bracelets are only $5 each.

Sra. Roach will be leading a group on an EF Tour of Peru in early June of 2023. The tour will include Lima, Incan ruins in the Sacred Valley and Macchu Picchu, the Uros floating islands, the market in Pisac and much more! There is an informational meeting for interested staff, students and their parents on Thursday, September 9 at 6:00 in Sra. Roach’s classroom S504.

An informational meeting for Mu Alpha Theta math club is Thursday at 8:40 in S214. See your math teacher for more details or go by S214 or S216 to see Mrs. Walker or Ms. Minadeo.

Native American Club will have its first meeting this Thursday during lunch in N210, freshmen are welcome to come to N210 during their own lunch to sign up and meet the sponsors.

Latin Club will meet in room S510 Thursday, Sept. 2, at overtime.

Anime Club meeting this Wednesday, after school, in N212! Bring friends, and Mr. Reynolds will bring snacks!

Academic team will be practicing on Friday's at lunch. Upperclassmen will practice in Mr. Brownfield's room (S210). Freshmen will practice in Mrs. Hart's room (S213).

Are you interested in sustainability and going green? Environmental Club is having their first meeting of the year Thursday, Sept 2nd during 4th hour lunch in room S204.

Anyone interested in the Astronomy Club will need to attend a brief meeting during 4th period lunch in N116 today.

Art Club will meet Tuesdays at 8:40 in the PIT room S206B

The Gay Straight Alliance club will meet every Wednesday in the choir room at 8:45am. Everybody is welcome.

The Technology Student Association will meet again at lunch and after school next Tuesday, September 7, in Mr. Coursey’s room, N206.

Mrs. Waggoner’s Critique Group for serious student writers will meet during 4th hour lunch next Friday. $3.00 Pizza money is due in room C102 by Thursday at 3:00. This group is open to any student who would like to give or receive feedback on their works in progress. Student novelists, poets, screenwriters, and graphic novelists are welcome! Students who want to come and read others’ works, but not share their own writing are also welcome!

Students who haven’t picked up last-year’s book, HIGHLIGHTS, can continue to contact the yearbook staff via email (normannorthhighyearbook@gmail.com) or text (4055820402). Currently, distribution is by appointment only. After October 12th, we will implement an in-school distribution plan.

- “Positive” Environment
- Throwing objects in the stands or on floor is prohibited
- No outside food or drink
- Students are to stay off the gym floor(remain in the stands)
- Must pay for re-entry into games
- Student seating for NNHS will be South side & East end
- NNHS students will exit the gym normal exit
- Noise makers and signs are prohibited
