Norman High is a place of history, of tradition, and of giving. Twenty-five years ago, the students staged a battle of the bands in order to give back to the community that supported them. This battle -- TigerPalooza -- became a yearly tradition, growing into a massive philanthropic undertaking, giving back more than $500,000 over the last twenty-five years. In honor of the twenty-five year milestone, we're returning to our roots. Music is a powerful tool to bring people together, and it continues to be our goal to unite our community.

U!Shine is a teen mental health advocacy program that works to educate young people on mental health, why it’s important, and how to build and maintain strong mental health and habits. Their curriculum, Healthy Habits, is a 12-session mental and emotional workbook that teaches youth and teenagers how to be mentally and emotionally healthy. The money we raise to support U!Shine will be used to further expand their curriculum and staff support to make a positive change in the mental health system.

We will also use partial funds and donations to help facilitate fundraising events for U!Shine. While working with U!Shine, we can also integrate mental health support for students within our own community and school. TigerPalooza is excited to support U!Shine through our 2023 fundraising campaign. We know we can make a real difference in the lives of young people throughout Norman.

Bridges is our joint recipient with Norman North High School this year. Bridges helps empower high school students in a family crisis to learn, without obstacles. Both TigerPalooza and SPUD have pledged to give 10% of their total at the end of the season to support Bridges. This is a special opportunity for both fundraisers to directly benefit students in their schools.
