November 1, 2018
Dear Madison Family,
Fall is upon us and winter is right around the corner! Throughout November we have a number of fun activities to be thankful for. Below is a list of those activities and events taking place at Madison Elementary this month:
- Parent/Teacher Conference, 11/1 – 11/2
- Student Holiday/No School, 11/2
- 2nd Grade Program, 11/8
- Veterans Day Assembly, 11/12
- Picture Re-Takes, 11/15
- Madison Family Movie Night, 11/16
- McFarlin Mobile Food Pantry, 11/20
- Thanksgiving Break, 11/21 – 11/23
- Terrific Kids Assembly, 11/30
Thank you all for helping us ensure that students are both safe and warm prior to the start of school. School doors do not open until 7:25am and with the weather changing, we are concerned that students dropped off prior to 7:25am will not only be left unattended, but also be out in the colder winter weather.
Parents you may have received (or may be receiving) a yellow Parent Portal letter this week. This letter is being sent out to all Madison Family members who have yet to set up an online account. Please make sure you have signed up for a parent portal account. This will give you the opportunity to view your child’s grades, attendance and assignments from the comfort of your home.
Also, don’t forget that there is no school tomorrow, November 2nd due to parent/teacher conferences.
Once again, my door is always open; don’t hesitate to get in touch, and thank you for the opportunity to learn/work with your children.
Dominic Barone, Principal
